Outra das coisas que ainda me faltava fazer e que remediei esta semana era pôr um pé de cada lado do meridiano...wow!!! e que excitante!!! ^.^

Não gostei tanto como me fizeram achar que ia gostar com as descrições que me fizeram, mas fez-me lembrar Coimbra na zona da Universidade e fez-me lembrar as viagens ao Reino Unido com a professora Lucinda...ai que saudades dos dois! :)

Another thing that was still missing and that I made right this week was to get one foot on each side of the meridian...wow!!! and it was very exciting!!!^.^

I didn't like it as much as the descriptions people made, made me think I would, but it made me remind Coimbra in the University area and the trips to the UK to learn english when I was a teenager...and I miss both so much! :)

Broadway Market

Mais um dos muitos mercados londrinos e um dos meus preferidos! Um mercado bem mais pequeno que a maioria, mas talvez um dos mais genuínos! Por aqui fala-se muito que mercados como o de Camden e o de Spitalfields perderam a sua originalidade e estão entregues à produção em massa e verdade seja dita, há coisas que encontras em todo o lado e várias vezes...lá se vai a originalidade! 

O Broadway Market tem barracas com comida, barracas com coisas vintage, barracas com livros a preços fantásticos e é mais uma vez uma rua cheia de lojas e cafés bem fofinhos! :)

Another one of the many markets in London and one of my favourites! It's a much smaller market when compared with the majority, but it's maybe one of the most genuine! Here, there's a lot of talk about how markets like Camden and Spitalfields have lost their originality and are filled with examples of mass production, and to be honest, there are things that you see everywhere...so much for originality!

Broadway Market has food stalls, vintage stalls, very nicely priced book stalls and is a street full of quite nice little shops and caffees! :)

Borough Market and around

O Borough Market é um mercado que acontece todas as sextas e sábados algures no southbank londrino...Aqui podemos ir petiscando queijos, enchidos, azeites e várias outras coisas que nos vão enchendo a barriga e alegrando a alma ;)

Borough Market happens every Friday and Saturday, somewhere in London's Southbank...Here we can taste cheeses, smoked meets, olive oils and several other things that fill up our tummy and make our soul happier ;)

Mayfair

Esta é uma das zonas pipis da cidade...bem perto de Oxford Street, lugar de congregação consumista, está a calma de Mayfair. Não por ser um local menos consumista, mas bem mais difícil para os comuns mortais consumirem por lá! É aqui que se pode encontrar Dolce & Gabbana, Vera Wang, Vivienne Westwood, Marc Jacobs, entre outros...

This is one of the posh places in town...really close to Oxford Street, place of consumistic aggregation, is Mayfair's calm. Not because it's a less consumistic place, but it's much more difficult to consume there! This is where you can find the likes of Dolce & Gabbana, Vera Wang, Vivienne Westwood and Marc Jacobs for example...

Royal Opera House

Uma das coisas que vai ficar a faltar é ver uma ópera na Royal Opera House...Ainda tentei nesta semana, mas estava tudo esgotado. De qualquer forma, fui fazer uma visita guiada para conseguir ver o interior! :)

One of the things that will be missing is seeing an opera in The Royal Opera House...I tried to do it this week, but everything is sold out. Anyway, I went on a guided tour to check the interior! :)

Regent's Canal #3

Já aqui mostrei a zona oeste do Regent's Canal...desta vez dediquei-me a passear pela zona este do canal.

Acho que quero viver num barco no Regent's Canal no próximo Verão! :)

Hoje os posts foram muitos...tenho muitos em atraso e acho que esta semana se vão atrasar ainda mais, por isso quis deixar despachados os posts sobre o fim-de-semana. Agora, acho que vou descansar do fim-de-semana hiper-ocupado!

I already showed here the west part of the Regent's Canal...today I visited the east part of the canal.

I think I want to live in a boat in Regent's Canal next summer! :)

Today there were a lot of posts...I have a lot of them delayed and I think this week they'll be even more delayed, so i wanted to take care of the weekend posts. Now, I think I'll rest from the busy weekend!
