Outra das visitas há muito adiadas era a visita ao British Museum.

Aconselho quem quiser visitar a fazer uma escolha daquilo que lhe interessa mais, já que o museu é enorme e cheio de coisas para ver...

Eu cá gosto sempre mais das salas dedicadas a Ásias, Áfricas e Américas, bem mais coloridas e divertidas que as Europas de romanos e gregos e as suas estátuas e utensílios...onde é que eles conseguem desencantar tantos exemplares...

Another visit long overdue was to The British Museum.

My advice to anyone who wants to visit it, is to carefully chose that which interests them the most as it is a huge museum full of things to see...

I myself always prefer the Asias, Africas and Americas, a lot more colourful and fun than the Europes of romans and greeks with all their statues and utensils...where can they find so many...

Good Good Day

Ao fim de 4 meses nesta cidade, já faltavam algumas fotos daquela que será a zona mais emblemática...

After 4 months in the city, there were still missing some photos of what may be its most recognizable zone...

Passear por Westminster já o tinha feito várias vezes, mas desta vez a ideia foi mesmo uma visita guiada das Houses of Parliament.

Walking around Westminster I had walked many time, but this time a guided tour of The Houses of Parliament was in order.

Lá dentro só se podem tirar fotos aquilo a que eu chamaria o hall de entrada - um hall de entrada grandioso, mas um hall de entrada...

As Houses of Parliament estão abertas a visitas de turistas apenas aos sábados (com a excepção da possibilidade de assistir a um dia normal no parlamento) e com esta visita guiada fiquei a saber bastante mais sobre o sistema político inglês e todos os estranhos (para não dizer estúpidos) pormenores e tradições...nada muda neste sítio!

Inside you can only take pictures of what I would call the entrance room - a magnificent entrance room, but an entrance room...

The Houses of Parliament are only open for tourists' visits on Saturdays (with the exception of the possibility of watching a normal day at the parliament) and with this guided tour I learnt a lot about the English political system and all it's quirks and traditions...nothing changes in this place!
