Alternative London

Já há algum tempo que pretendia fazer a Alternative Tour of London...A tour centra-se no East End Londrino onde, por acaso, vivo!

Fomos guiados por um guia local, meu vizinho, que tem um conhecimento invejável sobre tudo o que é Street Art e pela história de como esta zona da cidade evoluiu e cresceu. Para mim os graffitis já fazem parte do dia-a-dia, já que todos os dias me rodeiam, mas o meu conhecimento sobre eles é muito básico...Uma das minhas descobertas preferidas nesta tour foi saber que uma das minhas obras preferidas cá na zona e que já fez parte de um dos meus posts anterior é de um autor português...

Hoje, esta é a zona cool da cidade, onde os artistas moram e as festas acontecem...Claro que a história não acaba aqui, mas para saberem mais, aconselho que se juntem a uma destas visitas guiadas, que além do mais são gratuitas!!! :)

For some time now I wanted to do The Alternative Tour of London...This tour is centred around London's East End, where, by chance, I live!

We were guided by a local guide, my neighbour, who has an enviable knowledge of everything about Street Art and about how this area of the city evolved and grew. Since I live here graffitis have become part of my daily life, but my knowledge about them is very basic...One of my favourite discoveries in this tour was that one of my favourite works in the area is from a portuguese artist...

Today, this is the cool part of the city, where the artists live and the parties happen...However, the story doesn't end here. If you want to know more I advise you to take one of this tours, that to top it all up, are free!!! :)

Nas minhas últimas horas por Glasgow tinha duas oportunidades, visitar um centro de ciência, ou uma galeria de arte moderna...O que escolhi? A galeria de arte moderna...Será que isto quer dizer alguma coisa?
